  • Uri
  • Poonch
  • Mandar

In response to the violation by Pakistani attacks, India shot down several Pakistani drones using both kinetic and non-kinetic means. Furthermore, India also launched its own attacks using drones, destroying one Pakistani air defence radar.

While Pakistan kept its civilian airspace open, using it as a shield to avoid Indian attack, India closed its airspace for domestic and international flights. The Indian Air Force showed great restraint and avoided any civilian casualties. Pakistan used NAS Aviation Airbus 320 amid the attack to shield its the attacks.

However, the attacks from the Indian armed forces resulted in massive losses for the Pakistani army.

Pakistan focused its attacks especially on the religious sites across the Poonch district in Kashmir. Their armed forces used shelling on the Sikh gurdwara in Poonch, killing local sikh community members, including a ragi.

Apart from that, they also targeted a Christian convent and school. This attack killed two students while injuring their parents and damaging the infrastructure like solar panels and the building.

As always, Pakistan has denied any involvement in the attacks. It further accused India of targeting its own religious sites and cities. The foreign secretary of India has called it a deranged fantasy.

India has kept its stance on Operation Sindoor the same. That is, India’s attack on Pakistan was “non-escalatory and measured”, targeting only the terror camps and infrastructures.

India has completely closed the Kartarpur corridor, taking the security conditions into consideration. The MEA has briefed the UN Security Council, as well as the Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, regarding the incidents of May 8 and 9.
